When people come to San Diego, they often end up in the downtown area. And within this region is the famous Gaslamp Quarter, which is bustling with rooftop bars and clubs.

One of the most well-known venues in Gaslamp is The Tipsy Crow. There are three levels here; if you want to dance, then head to The Underground. It’s got an amazing sound system and beautiful lighting system that’ll make your moves look pro.

When you want to take a break, head upstairs to The Lounge. You can enjoy a drink by the fireplaces and play pool.

For something more laidback, go to The Main. It has more of a pub-like feel, and you can play Cards Against Humanity and shuffleboard. This level serves craft beer, cocktails, and food if you’re feeling hungry.

This Gaslamp club is a contemporary Asian-themed space that’ll provide an unforgettable time. Walk in, and you’ll see gorgeous cherry blossom trees and bright red lanterns. It originally opened in 2013, but it re-opened in 2021 under new ownership, so if you’ve been here before, you’ll need to see what it’s like a decade later.

The club strives to showcase both world-renowned producers and new and underground artists too. What’s fun is you’ll get to dance underneath the largest disco ball on the West Coast; not many people can say they’ve done that!

When you need to rest your sore feet and satiate your hunger, you’ll be pleased to see Bang Bang’s menu. Enjoy Asian fusion bites that you can share with your group.

Whiskey Girl is another club conveniently located in the Gaslamp Quarter, so you can hop between the two if you wish. It’s the perfect place to go if you’re into the Top 40s, as the DJs here will be spinning familiar tunes.

As the name suggests, the venue has over 70 whiskeys to choose from. You can drink them neat or on the rocks, or you can order tasty cocktails too.

Like in The Tipsy Crow and Bang Bang, there’s food available if you get hungry while dancing. A big juicy burger will be just what you need to refuel.

Another stop you can make in Gaslamp is Side Bar. Order yourself a specialty drink and sip it on the soft velvet sofas. This is a great place to order specialty cocktails, as they complement the extravagant decor and make you feel dapper.

When you want to put your dancing shoes on, then make your way onto the dancefloor where disco balls adorn the ceiling. This is the place to be for bachelor/bachelorette and birthday parties, so don’t be surprised to see some fun characters out here.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion yourself, don’t forget to ask to see Side Bar’s collection of champagne. They’ve got something for every taste.
